Ok, so after reading jerry james's blog (is that how you do that? Hmm....I shall ask the James that is closest to my heart when she wakes up from the nap her and josh are taking) and reading the coolest word ever...starts with an e and I can't remember the rest of it.......I had a word just randomly pop into my head. For all of you who are close to me, you know this is not unusual. Anyway, the word is "Euphamism". I used to know what it means, and i REALLY like the way that it sounds, and I would like to use it in a sentence and sound sophisticated and cool, and possibly win at scrabble with it (BIG points, Jeff!), so I would like to know it's meaning.
Now, you may be asking yourselves..."Why not just ask your intelligent Dictionary- Loving English Major husband, Rosie?" I'm so glad you asked. I am in AR and he is in AL. I would call him, but I have already called him twice today, first to play for him the "I love technology" song from Napolean Dynamite on Josh's keyboard, and second to tell him what a freakish coincidence it was that right after I played it for him, I changed the channel and THE SONG WAS PLAYING ON THE MOVIE CHANNEL!!!! ANyway, I don't want to bother him again. So.....
Since I am bored out of my mind because both of my companions are asleep, I will open up a discussion on my blog, the first of many. What is the meaning of this complex, beautiful word? "Euphamism". It just rolls off your tounge. Is it a type of eggroll? Possibly a breed of dog? Who knows? Maybe you do! So put your thinking caps on, type your thoughts in on my comments page, and I will judge which one sounds the best, the truest meaning of the word (or just the funniest!) My bets are on the winning definition coming from either Matt Parker, Jeff or Phillip. And remember, No cheating! PUT DOWN THE DICTIONARY, PHILLIP!!! The race is on.... GO!

Good Morning World! I woke up at the unfamiliar hour of 6:15 a.m. this morning feeling rested and ready for the day. I am usually an early riser, but I mean a 7:30 early riser, not a 6:00 early riser. There is a big difference in the two. Anyway, moving on. Just to let you guys know, I didn't just want you guys to see my beautiful face on yesterday's post, although lucky you ! Just kidding. Anyway, I was trying to figure out how to get that picture put on my profile. I followed the steps to do it, and i even had lee in here trying to help me figure out how to do it, but alas, the picture link was to big for the profile. I think we tried about 5 othere pics that we found on the internet to try to use for my profile, but they were all too big too! Does anyone know how to do this or what to do about it? If you do, please let me know. Also, Lee and I could not figure out how to link other folks's sites to mine. All of the templates that we tried out didn't have a place designated for links, and we couldn't figure out where to write them into the html text. Anyway, I am no computer genius at all so any help would be wonderful! On other topics...yay yay yay! I am in arkansas this week, like I said before, and I am having so much fun just enjoying my family. Today I am going to stop by a little shop in Warren and buy some candles for myself for a birthday present with some of the birthday money my grandpa gave me. This wouldn't be such a big thing, but they are JADE candles. Yes,that's right. For anyone who is familiar with them, you know what I am talking about. They are without a doubt the best candles I have ever had. They smell wonderfully, they have a long burning time, and are all in all just good quality candles. And they are made in the small town of Tillar, AR so that just adds to their charm for me. I got my first ones from Phillip's grandma for Christmas last year. It's so wonderful to have a grandma again. Both of mine have passed away, but Phillip's grandma really makes me feel like one of her own, which I am now, and I reallylove her. It's so great just to call someone "grandma" again, you know? Can I just stop and brag on my new family? They are awesome. I love everyone of them. Kim, my mother-in-law, has really become a second mom to me. Chris and Jeremy, Phillip's little brothers, (Chris is older than me so it's really weird for me to call him Phillip's LITTLE brother!) are great too, and it's just so obvious that they all love each other so much. And Chris's wife Jackie and their two girls and all my new aunts and uncles and cousins... I just can't stop thinking about that phrase "my cup runneth over". My cup truly does run over, and for that I am thankful. I know that alot of you don't know about our situation for the past few months, but the Lord really called us into financial suffering for Him, and it taught us alot. The main lesson that I learned from all of it, besides trusting Him and His will no matter what, was the importance of people. Family, friends, even strangers God puts into our lives to bless us and and to be blessed by us. I love the verse in the bible, I believe it is somewhere in John, that says that no one has seen God, except for through his followers. We ARE Jesus to people. What a blessing, but what a responsibility goes with it, you know? Anyway, that's my soapbox moment for the day. Back to the candle. After I buy it, I am headed to see Lee Ann and Suzanne P. and hang out with them. I am so excited! I am having Suzanne P. withdrawals. I swear. One of the first nights that we were in AL and I was still a little lonely from the move I told Phillip, " I just haven't found a friend here like Suzanne yet!" And it's true! I know, you are probobly playing the worlds smallest violin now to go along with my sob story, but anyone who is friends with Suzanne knows that she is one of the truest friends that you will find, and it is only natural for me to miss her alot. After Suzanne's, Lee and I, and maybe Suzanne, are going to watch "The Devil Wears Prada" at the movies. i am so excited! I have read the book and am anxiously awaiting the movie. After the movie, LeeAnn and I are headed to the Little Rock to keep the Josh-man, my dashingly handsome nephew. I will try to attatch a picture of him on this post, so that you can see exactly what I am talking about when I say "dashingly handsome. The little man could be the gerber baby, he's so cute. So all in all, I will be having a great day. So, on that note, I think I will start it! Adios!

Okay, Ladies and Gentlemen, regulars to the world of blogs, can you believe it? I, Rosie, have actually given in to the pressure from unnamed persons (a certain lovely sister, devoted husband, and Suzanne P.) and created a blog for myself! And I have to admit, I can seriously see myself becoming addicted. I mean, all of you that know me know that I do not have a problem carrying on a conversation, to put it midly, and I can see myself being that person who posts about random things going through my mind such as "What should I fix Phillip for dinner tonight? " or, "If you move to England, do you have to get a new car since you would be driving on the other side of the road?", and so on. If I do, please feel free to stop reading at any point. Moving on, I have to say I am kind of relieved to see how easy it was to create a blog. Lee Ann said that she would help me to create it, but I decided to try it myself, and miraculously, it worked out. YAY! I am in Arkansas this week visiting my family and friends, and so this first post is going to be a surprise to my husband, Phillip. Hopefully he will be my first hit. I am currently contemplating whether or not to give a bit of background info about myself. I mean, I know that basically everyone who reads this already knows me, but in hopes that my blog will grow to reach unkown persons, I will say a few words about myself. My name, as you read above, is Rosie. I am married to who I believe to be the best man in the world, Phillip. ( I know that's sappy but any of you who know me know that it's in character! :) ) Phillip and I moved about a month ago to a tiny but wonderful town in AL to be the Student Ministers at a Church there. So far, we love it. The town may be small, but their hearts are truly some of the biggest I have seen. Phillip absolutely loves his job, and in the month since we've been there, we have started to refer to it as "our job", because I get to work with Phillip so much. It is such a blessing to love your job, you know? I am currently pursuing my psychology degree and I have about a year left. I am not quite sure what I want to do with it, but Phillip assures me that there will always be a place for me and a need for my services at the church with him! I have a great mom and dad and two wonderful sisters, Suzi and Lee, and a dashingly handsome nephew, Josh, who I am sure I will ramble about endlessly in the future. Although Phillip and i don't have any kids of our own yet, we always tell people that we have about thirty, because we have gotten so close to alot of the kids in our youth group. They even inspired the name of this blog. Kudos to Lee for thinking of it for me! Anyway, this blog will be about anything and everything. Hope you enjoy. Adios!
